Baton Mini Camp

Dates: July 16th – July 18th (Lil’ Bits, Ages 5-9) July 30th – August 31st (Lil’ Misses, Ages 9-13)

Times: 9:05 am – 9:35 am

Location: The Bridge in Peachtree City Girls will learn basic twirls while focusing on poise, showmanship and team spirit. This is a class for beginners who want to experience the joy of baton twirling. For more information or to register and order batons, call Erin at (678) 329-4174 or (770) 241-2691.

Very limited spaces available. Batons are required. If you do not have a baton, one can be ordered for $18.

Safe Sitter Babysitter Course

Skills for airway rescue

Awareness of the responsibilities of child care

Focus on injury prevention and personal safety

Elementary knowledge of the ages and stages of child development

Systematic approach to injury management

Introductory interviewing and business skills

Techniques for basic child care

Techniques for behavior management

Ethical and compassionate behavior for babysitting

Raised awareness of personal limitations and importance of summoning help promptly

This course is for anyone ages 11 and up who would like to be a trained babysitter.

About Us SU 617 is part of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council. We deliver the Girl Scout program in the Peachtree City and Tyrone area of Fayette County, serving girls in the Crabapple, Huddleston, Kedron, Peachtree City Elementary school districts. Our older girls attend Booth and Bennett’s Mill Middle and McIntosh High School. Our Peachtree City Service Unit 617 has 40+ troops with over 500 girls ranging in age from 5-18. Our Service Unit meetings are held once a month on the second Tuesday at 12:30pm at the Scout Lodge. See our calendar for the next meeting date.
